Public sculpture in Sacramento California
Tamara Johnson has been commissioned by the City of West Sacramento, this project is a multi-faceted installation that activates the B St Tower area along the West Sacramento River Walk. The upper portion of the sculpture will serve as a beacon for West Sacramento, functioning in both daylight and evening hours with various sculptural details to encounter below the tower. The sculpture celebrates the surrounding neighborhood, the homes that you find there, and provides a domestic understory that allows for visitors to gather, contemplate, and relax.
