Keijsers Koning is pleased to present a solo booth by Liz Cohen at the Material Art Fair in Mexico City. We will be presenting Cohen's ceramic works titled "The Las Comadres | Matriarchs " which debuted at her solo show at the Detroit Museum of Art in 2023.
The Las Comadres | Matriarchs is a series of ceramic works that serve as Colombian totems, guardians for women whose labor accounts for 70% of the cultivation of coffee beans in the country. This is a work that celebrates Colombia’s extensive cultural contributions to global trade and exchange.
The 10th anniversary edition of Feria Material will take place from February 8th through 11th, 2024, during Mexico City’s Art Week.
